Abstract

This article describes and analyses a set of relationship modalities which involve workers in Social Service institutions and their clients. The text describes the main characteristics of this specific scenario, its basic conditions, social and historical references, and proposals for change in professional relationships. The article focuses on the description of these modalities and sets them in a current social context and policy. Nowadays, policy varies its goals towards the containment of social problems and needs involvement from professional agents in immediate levels of relationships with users.
